i think we gave the good Capt/Doc Chris a pretty good b-day present. not bad for a maiden voyage. i had just put the left long in the clip and was freespooling it back when the clip popped. i pulled it down to adjust the tension, and sent it right back up. still in freespool and pulling line off the reel manually, and the clip popped again. this time i felt a little tugging going on back there so i locked it up and gave it a few cranks....and there she was. soon as that fish was hooked, the right clip popped with a suicide bite. funny thing is neither fish jumped or gave any clues as to what we had.....hell i thought we had a pair of stinkys to tell you the truth!
