    Don't Try This At Home,

As much as I hate to admit it, I had a husky tuna take a gaff from me my last trip out. My pride was hurt, as this was a first for me. Was hoping the gaff would pop up, no such luck.
So I figured I would fill my gaff's with the "right stuff" foam. Sounded good anyway. I drilled a hole just big enough to stick the tube in and proceeded as planned. Well instead of putting just a little in, I did what any logical man would do and let her rip. If some is good, more is better, right??? Wrong!!!! After holding the trigger for what must have been what seemed like 15 second's, I pulled the tube out of the handle. That's when what had to be at least 5 cubic yards of foam came shooting out of that wee little hole!
I'm not sure how I'm gonna get all that foam off of my shop wall and sealing. Yes I've already thrown my clothes away. And it look's like I may have to shave my arm's, because this sticky goo seem's to be impervious to acetone, degreaser, varsol, etc... What did Forrest Gump's moma say, "stupid is as stupid does"! Yep, I think so. Frank

you can always tie a crab pot float to the end of your gaff - like a lot of folks do with boca grips

If it is any consolation, one of the first times I worked with 2 part urethane foam, I mixed it up, poured it in the hull I was working on, and went out to take a whizz - didn't realize I had uncured foam on my fingers

Short story - I wear gloves now whenever I use that stuff -

A reputable boat builder in New Bern use to use that quick foam to fill gaps and holes under the cockpit floor. Guys got carried away, next morning the cockpit floor had a nice rounded shape to it,needless to say it took quite a bit of cutting and glass work to level things up

Frank try Anti Bond 2015 made by Loctite @ West Marine, it'll eat 5200 quickly so I think it might break down the foam for you.

That stuff makes a big big permanent mess. I swear I can still feel it on my skin from years ago.
