DO NOT BAIL OUT OF THE BARTA GIG!!!

GEEZZUS .......I JUST HEARD SOMEONE CANCELED A CHARTER ON THE WATERFRONT CAUSE THE WEATHER LOOKS BLEAK ON FRIDAY

IMAGINE IF ALL BOATS WHO ARE TO REGISTER TOMORROW AND THOSE THAT ARE ALREADY REGISTERED (OVER 70) .....CANCELLED FISHING THE TOURNY!!!!

IT'S ONLY $500 BUCKS !!!!!!!!!!!!! GEEEZ..........IF EVERYONE CANCELS.....THAT WOULD BECOME A $100,000 LOSS ....

WHO WILL PAY FOR THE TENT RENTAL? WHO WILL COVER ALL THE EXPENSES?

THE HORROR OF CANCELLING OUT

THIS TOURNY IS DESIGNED TO RAISE MONEY FOR THE BOYS & GIRLS CLUB.............WHERE'S YOUR HEART AT?

Well, I'm ready to have a great time whether on the water or at the dock. Those who have not been to this event before do not realize that there is much more than $500 worth of fun, entertainment, and good will, regardless of the fishing.

I'd go out in a gale if someone else was driving the boat, especially the pros along the MHC waterfront. Since I'm driving my own boat, I'm going to stick my nose out of the inlet and let the weather decide if I go out after whitey or stay in after sails and kings. If it's too sloppy, I'll go back to the dock and let the kids catch sheepshead, seabass, puppy drum, etc. at the town docks like they did at night last year. This tournament is not a financial transaction, it is an opportunity to see the best that the fishing community has to offer, and let a bunch of kids have a great time as well.

One thing to remember, if you go out and let a kid catch a Spanish, he/she will weigh it in and Tred will make the kid feel like a hero when they do. They all get a trophy or medal if they catch a fish or help out on the boat (even if the boat gets blown out).

I hope everyone realizes that what is happening in Beaufort this weekend is much bigger than the forecast, and it will be a very good time for all, regardless of the seastate Friday and Saturday.

4-7 is not that bad but when you consider all the young kids that will be fishing it is a little sporty.

This tournament is all about raising money for a great cause and putting a smile on the kid’s faces. There are fish to be caught from the turning basin on out and my crew will not let me stop until we find them or it is time for lines out of the water. I have a 9 and a 6 year old that are ready to get there medals and they are ready to "do the work" to earn them. Hope to see everyone there.
