Got in the blind at 5:30, daylight breaks at 6:00, head jellied by 6:20

Had 5 gobblin on the roost. They are not hot yet as they never gobbled at a call just owls and crows. They heard us though. Heard one gobble on the ground about halfway to us. Then about 6;15 he hammers at the edge of the field, gets a look at beach ball badass

and bows up spittin' and drummin' for a second then breaks into half stut and comes after him. He made a half run at the decoy and stopped very quickly when he crossed the bennelli

. if you have never held a 3 and a 1/2 while trying to tell a 6 year old when to pull the trigger you probably guessed I got knocked pretty good but it worked

Hudsons first turkey weighed 19lbs, had 3/4 spurs, and an 8 and 3/4 and 5 inch beards

6 years old with a double beard
