First, let's get the record straight.
From Book Two, New Secrets of Modern Trolling and Wahoo Troller’s Bible, Chapter 24, “High Speed Trolling Basics”, page 156...
“I want to thank my friend Big Mike of Big Mike’s Lures for all of the help that he gave me in coming up with many of the Arrow prototypes for me (heck, he even named them!) Thanks Mike!”
There were many other things that I wanted to add here, but out of respect for the site, I won’t. This should say it all anyway.
I know that no one, me included, knows everything about fishing. I have said so many times here, including a post or two ago, “No matter how long I have been doing something, I never, ever think that I know everything there is to know about it and am always open to new ways of playing old games or new ways period.” This is a great learning venue for anyone, pro or no.
There are two kinds of fishermen that I listen to most – first are those who have spent a great deal of time on the water with open, inquisitive minds. My goal there is to learn things that I don’t know from them.
The other kind is the newbie, or the one with little or no time to experiment or learn new things. My goal there is to learn what they want to know and then to pass along what I know about those things in what I write.
Now I’m going back to talking fishing.
And ducking!
That much for an Islander? Wow! Been years since I bought or used any, but I'm sure that they weren't anywhere near that expensive. You have to loose them for them to quit working though, don't you? Or don't you? I'm almost afraid to ask...are Moldcrafts still cheap? If so, they are an even better buy than they used to be and they were a bargain back then. I do know that those Billy Baits that I like so much are pretty pricey, but as far as I'm concerned, they are worth it. Anybody else use them?
Ruffle my feathers and I quack.
Peace is good.

wow, just read all of this
The Truth, way to make your first post a really crummy one. Going against everything this site is about, NO BASHING.....
Why must you throw a huge rock into our seemingly slick calm pond, and create waves?
and you think that it is Mr Capt. Fred Archer should do "us" a favor and leave? from what i have seen, 1 post you made did nothing but create waves and bash someone.
Mr Capt. Fred Archer , whether you like it or not, has created and posted many tips and helpful pages of information, as do many other people on this site.
If it wasnt for people like fred, and other people on this site that are willing to open up and share alot of their secret tips and techniques, that they dont have to share with anyone at anytime, but yet they chose to, I for one would not feel as confident when i go out on the water about fishing.
there are many people on here that when they post a tip, technique, or little helpful hint , i feel 100% confident in knowing that tip will work out.
