Don't feel too bad. We did the same thing today. Took most of the 750 yds of mono off the reel (a good one... good thing we were't fishing in the pack). Had him on for 45 minutes. Pulled the hook ~150ft from the boat. 10/0 Owner. What the heck is going on this season with all the pulled hooks?? So what hook do we use... 9/0 Jabu or Owner, 10/0 Owner, or 11/0 Mustad 7691?

But how can, if my math is correct, have any fish, including grander blues,blacks or bluefins steal 2,250 feet of line from ya??? Not knocking anythin about it but,,,750 yds. of line is pretty much a game over story from the get go....on any species, Just curious how that could have happened on 130 lb. tackle,,,Once again I am not knocking anythin u did,,just wondering what the scenario was in order for that to happen?
