DEEPEST WAHOO CATCH

I've caught a few wahoo over the years but most have been close to the surface my question is what is the deepest anyone thinks they have caught wahoo.

Ive had em nail jigs being free falled about 200 feet down... 40-45' is the magic depth most guys down here try to get their baits at...

Caught one in 150 ft of water while bottom fishing, he cut a beeliner as we were coming up. Then subsequently hooked up. Hit pretty near the bottom.

IF YOU CAN GET A BAIT THERE...HE CAN ALSO BE THERE.....ALL FISH WILL SWIM AT ALL DEPTHS IF THEY CHOSE SO

Two years ago we caught a wahoo down 130 ft. For me I like to try to place my bait on the thermocline.

get by the bouys and jig they can be found from the surface on down to 150 200 ft, look for the jumping mahi and jig your ass off you will get one down deep

One thing is for sure, like Box said, these fish have remarkable ability to change throughout the water column...The Wahoo can do it with speed and quickness...Their body shape is designed to do just that.
