MUCH-O THANKS TO THE RECREATIONAL FISHING ALLIANCE FOR BRINGING TOGETHER THE IMPOSSIBLE IN YEARS PAST...THAT IS....A SOCIALIZING & BONDING OF REC'S AND COMMERCIALS ON THE GROUNDS ON CAPITOL HILL
WITH SEVERAL KEYNOTE SPEAKERS TAKING THE PODIUM...ONE DC RALLY SENATOR FROM MASS' STOOD OUT IMO WITH SOME FIREY EMOTION...I HOPE AND PRAY THESE SPEAKERS DO AS ADVERTISED....AND FIND THE FLEXIBILITY WITHIN THE M-S-A.
Great job with the report Marty. The comment at the 5:01 mark was right on. The last thing we need is a division between the Rec's and the Commercial's. The old saying "one voice" and "strength in number's" applies here!
And thanks to all those who made the trip and stood up for all of our rights.

Now we need to get the message out to our local towns and counties to our mayors and county commissioners and then on the governor's office.
Governor Bev Perdue needs to get on board with us and jump in to help support the fishermen of NC. It is time to organize a trip to Raleigh to make us heard. I would think that we could get as many people to Raleigh as we had in Washington.
Oh ya, where is CCA with this, did anyone see or hear about them being at DC. I did not, why are they not in support of this??? I read an article this past spring on their SUPPORT of "Catch Shares" in the Gulf of Mexico. I think that it is strange that a major fishing origination was not there to show support...just saying...
