Mike
is it a good idea to fish two baits at that depth?
Mike
no, single line is best
thanks![]()
no bs mike..
There is an awesome video somewhere and i know it is on bud and marys website about the guys down there day timing!
It has a great video on the rig they use and how it works so you dont get hung up doing it and dropping it down to those depths.
Check it out man! you wont be sorry!! and good luck bro!
Check out Saltwater Sportsman. All the info you need is there for how we fish.
What depth are you guys catching fish at night in?
What's the current speed?
Kristal reels.... which model? The 651XF is fast and with the updated drag kit is ok but not our first choice. It's a great reel for bottom fishing but Swords pull back and you'll want a working drag system. If it's a 621, get a box big enough to put it in so after you catch your first big sword you can send it back to Kristal for repairs
Manual reels... 80W Tiagra or Penn 80W's work fine of course. Strap a LP motor on and it's bullet proof. The Dolphin motor is doing fine and gives you the option to hand crank if you are feeling froggy. But the LP S1200 is the one to get. Having a line counter is worth the price alone when Daytiming.
Keep it simple... fish one bait!

And bring a camera. This could be really good, or really funnyGood luck Mike
check out bouncers videos on youtube. hes got the right idea. we got one about a month ago on the full moon. where are you fishing out of?? a lot of the technique depends on what kind of current you have to deal with...moving the boat, etc...
Yeah, thanks for that. I'm out of Venice, la. The current varies but its usually not too bad. It may be different at 2000'. I had to switch to this coming weekend to try it. Again any tips are greatly appreciated!
