I decided to switch it up this week...since, I'm one of the few posting fishing reports from Oklahoma...technically, this is MY WORLD...so, WELCOME TO IT!
We had such a good outing with Shawn the week before Chilly day at school... I decided to head back down and take a couple Air Force guys with me this time. Weather was a bit warmer, but, with 20+mph gust, the conditions were less than ideal. Accompaning me today were SSgt's Bowles, Klopf, and Nelson. These guys are some of the Air Force's finest, and it was a pleasure to spend the day with them. Like last week, we set up early to do some "live lining" Shad and had some early success.
We were catching Black Bass and Sand Bass pretty consistently, and here are a few of our keepers.
We then moved out and tried some bottom fishing...the Sandies were not as cooperative today as they were previously, but, we managed a few keepers and after a hour or so, we decided to see if we could find the Channel catfish. We re-rigged the rods to do some drifting across the flats, but, with the gusting wind, and cooler temp's, the fish didn't want to waste too much energy "chasing" our baits. We did manage to catch a handful, and the guys had a blast.
Sorry, we left the camera in the truck, so, all the pictures are from the dock.
Again, not the most productive day, but, a GREAT day with some of America's finest!!!
