We were pulling ballyhoo all with different clothes on. I remember that we had a naked pitch bait because we caught a big (citation) bull on it later in the day, but I think all of the trolled baits were dressed up to varying degrees.
I don't think it mattered for that particular event, but I do specifically remember that the set up that did the best over the course of the day was a naked ballyhoo behind a squid chain. I think that the squid on the chain were "natural" colored, but my memory fails me. One of the other trips I took with them, they used a squid chain that had colored squid on it, but they were all pale (not bright colors).

This past summer and fall off OI you would occassionally find squid on the surface...kind of looked the color of brown grass...they would be in patches right on the surface. We started pulling a squid chain, natural/brownish color...we limited out...I think 18 yellowfin tuna. Jim
