ONE MUST LEARN TO TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERY OPP' THAT IS THROWN YOUR WAY....AND WHEN IT'S MONEY TIME....YOU'VE GOT TO MAKE IT HAPPEN!.......WHEN THE SLOB 500 LBER PLOWS IN ON THE RT TEASER BAIT......ONE MUST THEN RETRIEVE HIS MATCHING BAIT FROM THE SHORT RIGGER (STALKER ORIGINAL IF MY MEMEORY SERVES ME CORRECT ).....AND BAIT & SWITCH THE DANG THING.....

I COULD SEE THE STARBOARD CAROLINA-BLUE EYEBALL OF THE ***** COCKING AROUND AT ME AS SHE PEELED OFF TAKING 40 YDS OF TEASER LINE WITH HER...SNIGGERING...LAUGHING HER FAT ASS OFF AT AIRHEAD ME AS I MISSED ....."BYE BYE" ......SHE BILLED ..."SEA YA LATER .......YOU HAD YOUR CHANCE DUDE AND NO PAYOLA FOR YOU NOR YOUR CAPITANO......."


AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY....THE 40 MPH SQUALL WE WENT THROUGH EARLIER DIDN'T MEAN SQUAT.......THEN A 15 LB COW PILED ON THE SINGLE HOOKED MACKERAL AS I WAS RETRIEVING IT BACK IN AND MANGLED THE HECK OUT OF IT........

Yep, Jimmy's on the board. Not sure about Dave, and i don't think Ronnie is the computer type. I could be wrong.

No doubt about it, that is one of the fish catchinest families out there (and Jimmy is a damn fine yacht broker also!!) If you look off to either side and see one of the Fields clan, you know you are in the right spot.

Excuse my ignorance but are we speaking of the fields near OC Maryland. I used to fish consistently with a Ronnie Fields down there. He was amazing

The same thing happened to me in reverse last season in Costa Rica--we had swimming 'hoos clipped in short off the transom so when we had a teaser bite, all you had to do was go to that side, pop it loose and feed the fish as el cap pulled the teaser away.

This time, I saw the fish first and fed him, then listened to the cappy have a coniption in Spanish when it turned out to be a nice blue that I had just hooked up on a 20-pound rod instead of the 50W mackerel rig that was ready in the chair rail.

We were prefishing so it didn't matter much that it took a little longer but in a tournament it can come down to time of release, so my lesson was to shout out first and see if that's the right move. You'll know in 2.5 seconds, even in Espanol.
