I have never had the need to lube them (I guess I must get wax all over them every spring anyway.
I have always heard that chapstick works great and I told my buddy to try it..... well he did and he loved it.... until he was out one day that it was blowing and when he was running into the wind and the snaps kept breaking loose
Needless to say I don't think he is going to lube them anymore.

I use a synthetic grease called Ultra Slick by "Permatex" Not like some greases, doen not stain like others. Also the best grease I have found for Telfex stearing arms...
If you use it, you will like it...
I use this stuff made by Star Brite....about $10 a tube and a tube will last you several seasons. It's teflon based and does not stain. Good for zippers too!
those snaps can be a real pain. Have had to replace severel in the past. The star brite worked fine for the lube when you need it. Can pick it up at boatersworld or west marine.

Chapstick or few drops of the CRC silicone lube. If you have a smaller set of curtains, lay them on dashboard of your vehicle and fire up the heater. They will get soft and stretch out easily for snapping on. Or you can lay them on the "hump" of the vehicle and let the floorboard heat up on the ride to the boat.
