    Current&Solstice

Ok men when I was working out today Iwas recouting our fishing from yesterday. I was thinking about current and the Gulf Stream.
On June 21 at 0545 the Summer Solstice occurred. Would this event have any effect on the tides. Or the amount of current in the gulf stream or do some days just have more current. I will say the water in that current was as blue as i have ever seen AWSOME.

As for the fishing yesterday we mananged a pretty good catch.
no photos lens was fogged up pretty bad but i got some funny audio on the video cam. Its pretty R rated so no posty.

    talley for the day
    2-Gags
    3-Triggers
    3-SeaBass 18 inchers
    2-Jumbo Beeliners
    4-bailers
1-Gaffer lost at the boat (pulled hook)
When we went off to the deep for a little ground and pound but were met by lots and lots of current probably 3-4 knots in the deep50fathoms and 1.5-2.5 around 25fathoms.

Thats is the main reason for my question about the tide.

    Thanks
    cc out

I agree the deeper we got the more tide and higher temps we found as well near 100 fathom water was cooler with less tide and nice edge in 30 fathom between 675 and 700 line lots of action 79/81 edge grass tons of flyers billfish bites and mahi

Something in physics dictates the Gulf Steam movements for sure, but in my experience on The OBX, the Gulf Stream and it currents on the west side has a mind of its own. I've never seen nor heard of any correlation between its inshore current characteristics and lunar or annual cycles.

Yea we went to bottom bouncing but didn't have any set ups for over the 100 we can fish out to it but not beyond..we didn't want to spend that much time on it. tried two drops with 4lb of weight no bottom
