A Couple of Awesome Sailfish Pictures----Wilmington, NC

Just thought I'd post these from last Tuesday (Aug. 14). This fish was caught near the Schoolhouse. We went 1/2 that day---losing the second fish when the hook broke. (Mustad 9175) Didn't get an official measurement on this fish but it was one of the biggest I have caught inshore. (This fish dwarfed one the I caught just a few days prior that was 54" LJFL so I'm putting this one in the 62-65" range LJFL.) It was caught by Heather Dyer who is standing beside her husband Kerry in the picture----I managed to hide behind the sail

I should have more pictures coming in the mail as these were taken with a regular camera. I'll see if I can get some of them scanned and posted as well---some of them should have turned out awesome.

I'll be back out there again on Monday since I'm out of town on business (yet again!) until Sunday.
