    Costa Rica sails Feb20-23rd

The trip was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME!!! Fished out of Los Suenos, Costa Rica. Great boat, crew, fellow anglers, weather and fishin!!
    Day 1 we caught and released 15 sails(to 120#'s) and 5 mai's, day 2 - 8
sails and 1 55# mai and day 3- 8 sails, 7 of which we caught in the last 75
minutes of the trip!!Awesome fishin. We used 30# Shimano rods and reels,
100# leader and 6 or 7/0 circle hooks. Our hook up ratio was about 70-80%!!
So we dropped or pulled hooks on another 7-10 sails!!
Capt George Beckwith made all the fabulous arrangements. You can reach
him at http://www.pamlicoguide.com/costarica.html for great packages. Robby Pasifield of Harkers Island fishin Center did a super job as our "Tour director",especially arranging the fresh fried mai fingers at the bar every night!
The boat info is at http://www.spanishflysportfishing.com
We sailed on a 2006 42' Maverick (built in CR, carolina style) the "Super Fly", a great fishin' platform. Highly recommend it!
    Sea ya,
    Fred
