i would look into a different hull.. for me and this is imho they are not worth the coin.. i rather have a bigger pit....

You obviously dont understand the concept of a center console. You generally fight the fish from the front of the boat and not the cockpit. CC's you chase the fish with the angler in the front of the boat.

see that is where everyone is mistaken on these cc's..

this has been what everyone has said for a long time now.. but your telling me when your fishing for say white marlin.. and you come across a pod of bait and raise 2 fish and one eats and the other is thrashing around your going to hook that one fish, chase it from the bow, and run around?! not so.. cc's are so over rated for when and how to use.

i am specifically telling a friend of mine, tenacious, to save his money on a hull of a contender and look into something else.. not talking about anything other than i truely believe whole heartedly that my friend tenacious could do better with a different hull compared to the contender and the coin they want to spend!

i have fished them, i own a cc, my friend has a contender i fish on and i am not a fan of them along with any cc that anyone intends to fish offshore..

i have more of a clue and know more about boats that you think.. i used to repossess about 80-100 boats a month.. know plenty about them..


and your info may be free but why not try to sell him a boat then? you sure do have a lot of comments... contenders may ride nice in nice water but i dont give a chit what boat you are in... if you want to run offshore and run offshore a good amount and have different options i dont care contender or not there are just some ccs that might work but not a contender..

tenacious is a friend of mine and i am steering him into the right directon. sorry to offend you but you are not ms. contender.. you dont sell them and have no stake in contender or their sales..

oh and a good friend of mine has has surgery and 2 slipped discs from running them "the way they are supposed to be run" in a 2-3 ft sea.

I'm not looking to bash anyone or any boats Vinny does this time and time again everytime he has the oppourtunity. I did it because its not right to speak of something in the manner he goes about it. Just because the boats not fishable to his doesn't mean its a bad boat.

With any boat purchase it all depends on how you are going to use it and your purchases should be made on that and your budget.

There are many great boats out there for any price size and needs, just do your homework and think of everything.

If I was a salesman pushing products I would say buy baby buy everything else is shit and sure your motors won't be a problem. I don't do that.

I am here to answer questions not push products at all. I just want to help people thats all.

As you said back to the topic and I am sorry to derail your thread.

What model 2-strokes are they so I can double check the weights and be sure?
