Completely Destroyed lost hurt and missing my best friend and love

I lost my my best friend, love, hunting partner and words can not describe how much I will miss her and love her. She has been sick and I was afraid I would have to make that decision but she died in my arms today at home. I promised her no more vet visit and I kept my end. Sasha I love u more than life itself and I am hurting now but relieved u are not suffereing. What a wonderful 12 yrs u gave me I love u so much my Sasha-girl. Just wanted to share with my SF.com friends!! This was more than a dog she was my heart! As I told people she was so smart she was on a different level. She never ceased to amaze me nor she NEVER LET ME DOWN. she protected me and loved me to the end.

My deepest sympathy. I know where you are coming from. Take comfort in the fact that she is no longer suffering. Always remember the good times and know she will be waiting at the other side of the rainbow bridge.

Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.

When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.

All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.

They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent; His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster.

You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.

Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together....

I am so sorry for your loss. Sasha is in a better place where the aches, pains and sickness are non existent and she is always healthy and happy.

Scott it is with my deepest sympathy that I read this. I am so sorry for the loss of your 4 legged family member. She already has a little new pup picked out for ya. You just do not know it yet. He or she will show make themself known to you when you are ready.

I know of one big black lab male that was there to show her around and also show her where the best duck swamps and dove fields are up there to keep her busy until you come see her again a long time from now.

So sorry for your Loss Brother. I went through this with my little girl this year myself. The pain will dull as the days go by.

Find comfort in this .... As painful as it is for you.... She has no pain. As sad as you are to lose her ... she has no sadness. You gave her a love that very few dogs ever experience. That is something to rejoice. She had a life that many humans would be fortunate to live.

Prayers sent for the ache in you and your family's hearts to fade quickly and the thoughts of Sasha to only bring a smile to your face.
