According to the dealer I used to sell kings to, they mostly went to Canada, although a fair amount was sold at the latge NYC fish market.

Fred, that's still the case. Canada on the sat. truck, ny on the tuesday truck. As far split, the guy fishing with me this year is very experienced, so what we do is expenses come off the top, the boat get's half, and we get 25% each. With a less-seasoned mate, I'll get 60% of the crew share, and my mate will get 40%. I don't like having more than one paid mate at a time, since it just eats into everyone's pocket, but if I had 2 mates, I'd get 40% of the crew share, and the mate's would get 30% each.

    No Standard

I would say that there is no industry standard on the $$ cut.

    Every boat is different.

    I love slingling slimeys.

Jeremy and I went the other day, they really did not bite all that good, we caught about 8 boxes.

I have a lower station on my boat and love getting down in the pit slingin and drivin the boat at the same time!

Been fortunate enough to have afew charters lately, we will be getting back on the mackeys shortly.
