come on people i need a show of hands, not eyes!!!

hey, come on now, 214 views and just a handful of replies and commitments, hats off to those who answered and committed. people, when you are sitting there in front of your $1500 computer setup, inside your nice house with power, food, running water, children and spouses content, warm and happy think about katrina victims. when you jump into your warm shower, soap up, rinse off and grab that warm fluffy towel, think about katrina victims.

people, we have it all and they have nothing but devastation. how can we as americans help? i say "how can we americans not help damnit!!!!!!!! we as a country have no excuse to sit idly by and let our fellow americans live this way and be given the runaround by the government. this country was formed by a brotherhood, those willing to stick up for the rights of others, what the hell happened to us, i say we got selfish. bottom line, we as americans, are indifferent to our brethren's suffering. out of sight out of mind. let's get back to the basics, give, give, give to your fellow man in need!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

please do not take offense to this post, it is just an eye-opener guys!

Do you want me to send you a copy of the receipt for the Home Depot Gift Cards that I purchased yesterday, and mailed to Capt. John today...?

Some of us a a bit private in what we do.

This is the address in the "State of Venice..." post. It is also the address that John confirmed in my lengthy phoncon with him yesterday.

Sportfishermen.com
618 G ave
Marrero, La. 70072

He indicated that someone was there to get the mail...

As noted by John, and also in some other threads, Gift Cards from Home Depot or Target are best options.

i love it when a plan comes together.. reminds me of the A-TEAM. Brian rock on dude, that is a great idea with gift cards. By the way 65 lbs was 40.00 from bear to admin. Thanks to another fisherman Mike Peet. It is not a one man show for me. I need all the help and ideas SFC can provide and other fishermen that are not signed up. Hell most people helping me don't even fish but they love the fresh killed sweet flesh of the catch I bring home for diner. ohH Yea. That recipe thread a few down has everyones eyes right now. I'M IN!

I've been sending e-mails to news groups.

I've been asking many people about donations.

I'm getting ready for the ROAD TRIP down south!
