So this time of year is always tough for us New Englanders- the boats have been pulled, the gear put away. Sure we've got the Sox and the Pats to give us something to do on the weekends, but it just isn't the same as getting out on the water.
This time of year used to really wear on me. Then last year I decided to do something about it, and I started to mess around with video editing to pass the time. Well the time is here again- if I can't be in warm weather, I can at least think warm thoughts.
I just finished this video. The footage was taken earlier this year when my better half and I went to Isla Holbox in Mexico. It was truely a unique vacation as it was little more than a sand bar a few miles offshore. There were no cars, only golf carts. The days were spent cruising the shorelines in the gulf cart with spinning rods in tow. In the evenings, the whole town would gather at one particular point to fish. They were extremely helpful, and very polite. I hope you enjoy the vid....especially you Jer!![]()
