    Cobia around MHC?

I have been one time and hated it. Caught 2 small sharks and spent the whole day baking in the sun. Still, I would love to catch one, and now I have a boat big enough to go fish for them. Have they shown up yet? I'll be down in AB in 2 weeks, and I'm thinking seriously about giving it another try. Any info would be great. Thanks guys.

The bite was crazy today out of hatteras. One of my buddies had four on at the same time today. I heard over 200 caught which is pretty unreal considering probably no more than 12 or so boats fishing.

The cobia fishing around Cape Lookout and the Morehead City area is the best that I have seen in years!! Limiting out has been the norm. We have only been sight fishing for the last few days , seeing between 20 and 50 cobes a day. Cobia between 25 and 80 lbs are very common. big white bucktails with white plastics and white or black Hogy 10 inch jigging Hogy's will catch all you need to pull on. I still have a few date open in May and some in June. I only hope that this massive showing of cobia will stick around for a few more weeks.

Couple of pigs from Friday. Never seen anything like it, 30-40 behind the boat at the same time! Crazy....
