Brothers and Sisters
Let me pass on a lesson learned the hard way. My Coastas were tucked away in their case which is semi rigid in my carry-on bag on a recent flight. I paid my neighbor little mind as he and the flight attendant spent several minutes stuffing his over sized bag in the overhead bin.
Lesson learned, buy a more rigid case or keep ‘em on your head. From the looks of my Costas, my neighbor and the flight attendant exerted enough pressure fitting his bag into the bin to warp the frame enough to crack both lenses—the cracks on each lens are identical.
I was pulling mine out of the case when i dropped them and the frame cracked above the lens. I took them to my eye doctor and I did not have to say a thing, the doc said they'll be back in a week we'll call you. So maybe they might replace your warped frame? sorry to hear about your glasses
hmmm. Sorry to hear that. Mine came with a rigid case, not semi-rigid, but rigid. I guess you could have used that Good luck however you go about getting them fixed.
OKAY BRO....PACK THEM UP JUST LIKE IN THE PICTURE AND MAIL THEM TO COSTAS..........ENCLOSE A LETTER WITH A PICTURE OF YOU IN UNIFORM WEARING THE CRACKED LENSES.....BE NICE AND TELL THEM EXACTLY WHAT HAPPENED .....
I BET A QUARTER THEY WILL REPLACE THEM....
ALSO GET THE NAME OF THE GUY WITH THE OVERPACKED BAG.....AND HAVE A ONE-ON-ONE TETE DA TETE WITH HIM
With the airlines now charging $10-20 per checked bag, we are going to be seeing alot more overstuffing of the overheads, and slower security lines. They made me take out my toothpaste for the 5 point inspection the other day
Sent mine back the other month for a problem. Had them back in a month and cost me $9.95 (min. fee they charge). A brand new pair of Costas showed up in the mail.
