Dude if you are so unhappy with the job the USCG is doing then you should get off your ass and join up so you can attempt to change it. I don't think the dispute here is one on being able to explain your opinion where ever you want to and having the right to do it, when you spend some time here you will realize BOX is as opinionated as they come.

What pissed everyone off is that someone started a thread to appreciate the boat and the USCG and Hubris came in and said they suck, those are my words, but that's how I read it. So if you want to give you opinion and it doesn't line up with the thread your reading, start your own thread and complain there.

There is room for everyone's world here, just don't piss on everyone else's.

Once again, Marty blasts anyone that has a different opinion than he does. I saw the post and put in a comment that the coast guard needs new leadership. I think thats a pretty fair statement, but if you say anything that the president of sportfisherman doesnt like......you get the obama defense from marty..... Playing political games, same old school name calling accusations. Did I call anyone a name? Was I even talking to marty? I think not. He does this over and over if any one disagrees with him but I aint even talking to him. For those that live in his shadow, great! enjoy it but If I start taking martys advice Im going to have to lower my standard of living to match the thinking and I really dont want to do that.
Last year I made a comment about the North Carolina Boys and Girls club, and why they needed so much money year in and year out. In came marty full of no knowledge blasting away with his name calling and Im sure pm's to admin to get me banned. I gave something like $900.00 dollars to the orginization. This year, I gave nothing......because of marty. I refuse to be a part of something that he wants to constantly get praise for. He spends the entire year going bi-polar on everyone and then appeals to everyone to step forward and help the kids. Yea right,
Im going to contact my attorney next week. Im going to change my will to leave an endowment to the North Carolina Boys and Girls club of $50,000 dollars when I die. I really have no idea what to do with my estate that i have worked to build. I sure dont want to spend it just to spend it. I have no one to leave it to so that way, it goes to a cause I want it to go to.
I have been to north Carolina at least 10 times with my boat and I truely have enjoyed it. Yea, we have met the captains that wish we werent there, the WWWB guys that yell at us to move, but I have still enjoyed every moment of being there. The only stipulation I make is Marty Hiatt of morehead city north carolina needs to be deceased before me for the money to go to them. Its that simple.
So marty, go ahead, keep going bi-polar on anyone and everyone.........you dont live on my street and never will so I really dont care. I was not even talking to you, just making a comment about the coast guard that i think needs a little air in it. Thanks for your service, we all appreciate it. But, you do turn people off too you know. Its why I dont give money to your causes anymore, not because I dont care, but because I dont care for you.

Ahh, I havent seen a the Eagle since I was a kid. My dad was on it when I was 7 or 8 when they took it from Boston to Portland Maine (I think thats where it went).

Awesome vessel.... though I don't see the crows nest anymore in the picture. My memory is fuzzy, but I remember it having one, and my dad saying he had been in it. I will have to ask him.

Thats why it takes them so long to get there if someone needs them. They sail there! All the coast guard does today is play "homeland security" and "catch the drug guy." Too many times they have their clipboards and formality............ and excuse. #1. We are running low on fuel and need to abort. This is one govt agency that needs new leadership, less hat, and more cowboy.

This is a horrible thing to say but, when that time comes and they are unable to give assistance, I hope that it will be you on the waiting end....

From your contributions to this site, if anyone can even call it that, you have shown yourself to be total waste of life. Make no mistake about it... You are a fucking asshole! I'm not upset with you, but I will tell you this.... if you ever come to NC and act like that in person around me, I'm going do my best to stomp a mud-hole in your ass and then walk the damn thing dry.
