Well, I must admit we didn't want to wack it but were kind of forced to!
We have a pair that come to another pond and chop 10" trees and that doesn't bother us a bit as it's not next to the house. This one shouldn't have taken down the trees and shrubs we planted...

MM, I wouldn't fret one bit about getting rid of the beavers in the yard pond--- they sure do some damage. There's more Beaver know than there have been since the white man came over.
If ya get a biggen, they make a really cool pelt-- a perfect circle w/ 4 little holes where the legs were. Cure the hide good, shave the guard hairs and it's soft and warm in front of the fireplace.
