While I can't stand the guy (just kidding) he make's one fine gaff. I had him make me one for my 25 footer and I'll tell you that it is my go to gaff %100 of the time. Has nothing to do with that it IS a work of ART, it is down right a natural fit. I will be having Capt Fred, who is my buddy (most of the time) make me a few more for the "Wild Card" when I get her over and ready to go. Guy's they are worth every dime! I wouldn't have him tie a knot for me, but he can build me a gaff anytime!!!! Frank

I cannot comment on the Gaff, but, I can attest to Fred's rod making ability. I'm fortunate to have a couple of rods he made up for me and I couldn't be more pleased.

My guess would be what you are willing to pay. Fred has a semi-treehugger girlfriend he has to support who was probably looking for a diamond ring for Valentines day.

Send him a PM. I can tell you without reservation, that you won't be disappointed in the gaff. Won't be long before I get him to build me a couple 2 or 3 more. There's just something about the way they feel and fit. Frank
