Clinton gun ban NOT coming back!

According to Obama, he will NOT be resurrecting the assault weapon ban of Clintons. The article stated that he had bowed to the reality that a ban would be too unpopular in some politically key states. I found this in an article from the AP discussing his plan on decreasing guns to Mexico. Hopefully, this will put an end to everyone stockpiling assault weapons and ammo and driving up the prices. I post this for purely selfish motives, as I would love to see the price of ammo go down and the availability go up! Hopefully, the more people see this the quicker prices will drop!

    gun ban

Get into reloading. If you shoot that much this is the only way to go. Reloading will cut costs a lot and provide match grade ammo. My wife and I shot about 20,000 rounds each a summer for practice, not counting matches we shot. USPSA is lots of fun.

Reloading won't help if the reloading dealers are sold out too. Almost all reloading suppliers I know of are sold out of almost everything. The paranoia is insane right now. You wouldn't believe what I hear when I go work at the sporting goods store.

Just keep in mind that the chosen one did not say that he is not in favor of ban, for the good of gun owners, he says he won't pursue it because it would be difficult to get. He still is far from being a saint, his campaign promises broken gives a clue.

Oh I know; by no means am I an Obama supporter, and I know he would have brought it back if he could have, but it sure would be nice for the hysteria to settle down and be able to find ammo on the shelves. Looks like locusts have been through the ammo section!

Dont be to sure this past week the Mexican Govt started pushing for the Whitehouse to reinstate the assault rifle gun ban and to crack down on how weapons are purchased at gun shows. Of course this is all to insure the safety of our country from the mexican gang issue on the border. Gee maybe we should bring our boys home from protecting the rest of the world and throw a little support to the way over taxed and under supported Border Patrol. No that doesnt make sense we'll just strip our citizens of their rights to appease some other country that is slowing destroying ours through NAFTA and illegal immigration. Or god forbid maybe the Mexicans could just start being more vigilant on their side of the border on what comes in from the states. I read somewhere that close to 80% of all weapons that are smuggled into Mexico from the States are driven right across the border. Since Mexico has such a problem, maybe we should just close the borders to all trade and then there wont be as many trucks going back and forth to smuggle their guns in. Tell all of the of the rat ******* companies that have moved manufacturing down there and gave away American jobs that they have two weeks to bring there assets back and then close it off. Any companies continuing to manufacture in Mexico wont be allowed to import anything into the States. Once Mexico realizes were done screwing around with them maybe they'll start controlling there own issues.

Sorry a little off topic, Ive just had it up to here with all of this Mexico bullshit and the immigration issue. rant over

Not one word from washington do I trust for a second. Those crafty bastards have little ways of making stuff near impossible.

State by state there are other sneaky bullshit ways. Jersey is an example. Guns aren't illegal. There you have a pretty tough path to get a gun but it can be done. Where they stick you is that you can not have ammo without a current hunting license or state firearms ID card. Nevermind buying. Just possessing. So when I cross that Jersey state line I have to drop $137.50 for a license just to stay legal.

Hell Jersey made motorbikes sized for kids illegal "because they contain lead" (battery terminals)...

Down here they limit clip size and many weapons don't take clips of reduced capacity...

No don't trust the bastards any further than you can throw them...
