People aren't ignoring you, the subject has just been talked to death. Do a search and you will see 100's if not 1,000's of posts with videos and photos galore. Impending circle hook requirements for tournaments prompted my first posts on this site. I have read every post and studied every video and guess what, this Saturday is my first fishable tournament day and I am going to use all artificials with J hooks. I am thinking about putting saltwater Gulps on my rubber Ballyhoos to put off some stink. I am officially dealing with circle hooks by avoiding them. Call me chicken, I deserve it.
If you discover a way to get a circle hook out a ballyhoo's vent post it up.

You guys are all going to call me crazy but Oh well. I have been rigging my circles split bill the same as a J hook for the past 2 yrs and have had good success.
Hey Rev, don't have pics nut I rig my skippers and split bills just like a J hook rig. Have to make sure the hook is tied in tight/stiff, yes you can rig with a chin wt. You have to fish it very very light drag and be all over it for the drop back. I went 4 for 4, 1 Whitey and a few gaffers. The crew were missing them cause they didn't drop long enough or tried to set the hook. The fish has to pick it up and turn away from the boat to get the hook to catch in the corner of the mouth.
