Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
circle hook question?
we do not use them but i have seen all the different ways to rig them.
my question is how do they actually hook the fish,we use j hooks and i have yet to have the front of a lure eaten, all our bites are after the lure head right in the area of the j-hook(heck we have alot of half strikes with j-hooks),now if i have the circle hook on the front of the b-hoo or lure it would totally be missed?
what am i missing here?
now for bottom fishing we exclusively use circles and they are awesome.
Thanks..

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
If you find the answer drop me a line. The forward rigging was 0% for us last year. Theory is to drop back and let swallow like a natural but they usually don't hang on long when its plastic.
Other riggings produced the same 0%. As I'm comming around to their use in naturals I can see possibly why past the obvious physics of the head diameter being greater than the gap of the hook. I'm looking at a different approach that I think may work but as yet have not had a chance to test on fish. Don't want to expound on it till I see if it works.

Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
i was wondering if i was missing something.
been messing around with some lures this weekend and just could not see how it would work with them,so i started thinking maybe small lures and nakeds are the way,you confirmed what i was thinking..
what really sucks is all the lures i have would be useless
