    Circle hook...planer rod...rigging!

Thnks Box for turning me on to the "Sniper Rod" setup.

Gotta question though and maybe you've answered already in anothr post.

When rigging your ballyhoo for the sniper rod setup, and you're using an eye catcher, mylar skirt or whatever in front of the ballyhoo, How can this be rigged with an inline circle hook to be tourney legal for instance during the WMO?

    Thanks for any advice!

    JT

BTW, we landed a nice 53" fish Friday and a 57 " fish Saturday with the help of the "Sniper Rod"! Thanks again!

Correct me if I'm wrong, but because the mate touches the main line to un-clip the planer, the sniper set-up is not IGFA legal.

Not when using the rubber band release method. Is that correct?

I INCORRECTLY USED THE WRONG WORD IN MY COMMENT ABOVE .....I HAVE ASKED THE ADMIN TO CORRECT IT....I MEANT TO SAY: A WAHOO TOURNAMENT YES

SINCE WAHOO FISHING IS SO POPULAR USING "DOWN DEEP PLANER METHODS" .... NC LOCAL WAHOO TOURNYS HAVE ALLOWED THE SNIPER BRIDLE METHOD

AND YES.....A RUBBERBAND RELEASE METHOD IS LEGAL FROM A PLANER ROD ....IT IS NO DIFFERENT THAN USING AN OUTRIGGER RELEASE
