Well that was a learning experience for sure. Took us an hour to figure out how to make it work with the screaming crow howler monkey recording we had looped over and over on the cd. We ended up with 2 but I know we can smack them now that we have an idea of what is going on in their heads.

It was alot of fun and I know I have the crow bug now.

we moved 600 yards and tried again. The tape was bullchit. Just abuch of racket with a wierd howling sound mixed in. We played it for 15 minutes with zero crowage. I turned it off and we were discussing making a big move cross county thinking we had blown it when I look up and WHATCHAKNOWIT...theres a crow flying over and another and another but we had put up our shotgunsAllan shucks leather and misses. No mo crow. We move about a 1/4 mile and try again in some 5 year old pines. This time Allan plays with the volume and it works alot better. We had about 200 in the tall pines 150 yards away and they would crow back and send a scout every 15 minutes or so. I whacked the first two but missed the third and it was almost roost time I guess because the whole flock flew by at 60 yards.

Its alot of fun and I can see some serious possibilities. Reminded me alot of duck hunting.

I can't wait to try it again! It's right next door and I love calling an animal in. We have 1000's of those things. If they eat decent it just may become my new hobby...Like I need another

Another useless fact. Wing one of them, nurse it back and sit it on a stand where you play the recording. When they see the crow, they will come...for whom the crow tolls...

The Buffinator is the all time Champion.....if it swims, flies, moews...or shits in the woods.....its got a date with death....On a serious note i will be seein my red neck brother in law this weekend....a native west virginian that much like Mike will hunt and kill any dam critter that lives in the woods....hes told me some crow stories, I see what kindo of tactics i can get out of him.
