" Chowan River Hot Perch Bite"

Headed up Edenton to my dads place on the Chowan for the weekend. This was our annual White Perch round up!! My dad doesn't get out much at 76 so my brother and I try to get him out on the water a few times a year. He cant go blue water fishing anymore so we load up the Maycraft and go perch slayin!!
Well the weather was perfect with a slight chop and fired up the sounder and did a little prospecting. After about 30 minutes we located a big school of perch and dropped the hook and backed down right on top of the school. It was none stop white Perch acition on 4lb test for several hours. A honest assessment would be 200-250 fish on the hook. All were released except for 6 fatties for dinner.
Fishing on the Chowan is very scenic if you get a chance give it a try..........Mark
