Check this little guy out...
my neighbor just caught this mangrove snapper behind the house and it is a halfling. I'm guessing cuda bite early in life, but it is strange. It looks like the dorsal and anal fins have joined to make a tail...
The last couple are fron the last three charters. The fish have been biting, we just aint been landing many. Fought a estimated 90lber for close to 2 hours on 12lb only to lose it at the boat to a chewed through leade(30lb fluoro) and went 0 for 10 todayOh well, lots of jumping fish and nonbowing clients but it's all good...
Its surprising lil ol stubby survived long enough to recover from his amputation of his running gear with all the toothy critters that abound in your waters, as for the non bowing cliants.....well you held up on your end of the bargain...you got them bit, im sure they left satisfied...once they are hooked up the ball is in their court, besides they dont call em the silver king for nothing.

I did not catch the snapper...
but yes, he is still swimming. My neighbor thought he had some kind of desease and I did not argue with him. He is lucky he is not the special at the pulpo loco(neighbors resturaunt) as I have seen him serve everything from jack crevalle to tarpon civecheWhy?
The will to live is certainly strong. This fish lost his propeller long before the Captain caught him. To this day though, CAPTAIN thinks he set the hook so hard he jerked the tail off the fish. Cool pics Captain Buff.
