    Cheap Rigging Needles?

Does anyone know where you can get some inexpensive (or at least less expensive) rigging needles? The only kits i have seen have been almost a hundred bucks. A hundred bucks for a dozen needles!!!??? That is crazy talk.

Anyone know of a resource that sells a kit at a little more reasonable price?

For bait rigging, look for mortician's needles - you can usually find them at a tackle shop for about $6.00/3 pack

I know Neuse Sport Shop carries them - Pretty sure Capt Joe's & Freeman's does too, Would be shocked If Tim doesn't carry them at Big Rock Fishing Center

You dont need the needles. Just cut the mono on an angle and put a little WD 40 on it. It will slide right into the dacron or spectra.

I bought a set during the summer, made by a company called Ex-Tex. Seven needles that can do 50-550 pound topshots.

Dunn ... that set is still $80 bucks?! Im not trying to be a cheap ******* here. I will spend money on things that are worth it but for Goodness sakes ... THEY ARE FREAKING NEEDLES!!!! They cant cost more than a dime to make! Oh well ... looks like I might have to bite the bullet ... or just try Whitey's method.

Ya NN, I think I payed $70 bucks for my set. I have also seen wire being used, have you tried that? Im going to do some experimenting with putting together topshots sometime soon. I think I will be able to figure it out, maybe post up a video of doing it and you guys can help me out.
