    Lee,

For those of us who can't make it can you post up some of the key points after the seminar? Sounds like there will be some good info there.

Not sure about the vessel hijack but I think what brought this up is a law suit that came about this year with a guide that had a guy on his boat 2 or 3 years prior. The guy clamed that the Capt. had hurt his back by the way he drove the boat...it was slick calm that day and less than 5 kts. Don't qoute me on all this, just what I under stood. The Capt. had great insureance and his company backed him 100% but the mental stuff that the Capt under went was pure He -- for him.
There will be a Martime (Proctors in Admiralty) lawers to try and help answer our Questions as well as advise us the best way to protect ourselvs. Should be great.

Post up what you get from this or if it is something that copies could be shared. I would like to see how others are doing it to make sure bases are covered here.

All boat owners should be using waiver forms, what we do can be dangerouse when you have people on board who are not experianced at sea. I have been using them for 3 years and EVERY person who comes on our boat including my best friends sign them or they do not make the trip. It takes 2 minutes but it can save friendships and maybe your home if someone gets seiously hurt.

If they will let me I will video tape it and try to put the hilights for you.

JMiner, You are correct. This law siut that this Capt. went through would proubbly never happned if a waiver had been signed.

I hope a lot of people will turn out for this...
