Lots of good ideas here. I like the idea of a charity event. July is the Tred Barta tourny for the Boys and Girls club of America, the proceeds could go to that. I think the guys should negotiate the rules. The way this wind has been this year do you think we will ever get 2 days in a row that are fishable. I heard there were 3 Blues hooked yesterday in the tourney. Just waiting for Wahoo and AM to give a shout.

Saltwaterwater Bucks - I agree that two boats should be used but let me add some additional ideas. Like someone else mentioned I think it should be away from both of their fishing grounds just so neither have an advantage. I know Marty is gonna be in OC in August for the WMO. It could be held then. I will gladly volunteer my boat for this event.

HI Marty:
Sorry about this late post. I've been helping out my kids and one grandson. Been very busy. I've hopped on the site when I could and not for very long at that.
I'm ready for our shot if we can have it in June. I'd like to give you a ring on a landline in teh next few days. Would say., around 8ish be ok? I should be back from my turn with my grandson each night by then.
I like the idea of making this a charity thing. Just think Marty, we could get a celebrity fisherman "thing" going once each year.
I hope someone would be kind and donate a boat for my part, as I'm semi-retired now. I just do seminars and shows and the odd rent a captain(me) thing once and a while.
I'll bring my "sticks n feathers" with me for this shootout too. IF anyone wants to ride along with me, I hope your a lure man/woman too. I know Becky said she had an intereset in this .
AS to where to fish, I'll let the guys who have the boats decide.
If you can do so, I would appreciate a middle of the week time frame. How about you Marty? Any preference?
I'm really looking forward to this. I want to meet with all the guys form the site and put faces to names.
