I think we should fly Ahi in to referee......

It has the making of a GREAT FISHING SHOW!!!!!

I have cameras as well as the drop cam to see if the baits are swimming right... We could judge them by points,,,, Presentation, Action & Fishinthebox

Now this is getting good. It's starting to sound like a pay per view event.

When will this end?????Plastic vs Ballyhoos...... Now when we have been able to go this spring all the tunas that we got came off small hoos rig on b/w witches. The billfish(2) that have came in to the baits came on the flat line necked split bill med hoo rig on 80lb YO-ZURI H.D. CARBON . Now for the plastic I use them for putting right down the middle is the 10 squids bar plus the six on both the riggers. Now if we are marlin fishing I will pull some S&H PLUGS black and orange have put some fish on the docks........

I would like to volunteer as the "guest" referee. I will have to travel 2000 miles but for this life experience , I will be glad to board the plane. I will pay for a seat on the boat and act as an alternate videographer. This will be a story for all time.

How about the guest referee suggesting a new alternative for fair rules. Both parties will want it fair or this scientific experiment will fail. It's all in fun and games, so let's learn from it.

Terms:

We will use 2 boats with 2 crews and there will be 2 days of fishing.

Day 1, Wahoonbox on Boat A, Ancient Mariner on Boat B

Day 2, Ancient Mariner and Wahoonbox switch boats-----the crews stay on their boats from Day 1

This contest should not be decided by one billfish, so it will be the total weight of fish in the box for the 2 days with 100 pounds for each billfish released.

It's fun, scientific so no fancy IGFA rules, just fish in box and leaders touched on billfish.

Boats will fish together and I nominate the Beast to be the lead Captain. Both parties will get to fish with both captains and crews so who cares.

Who cares about where? It should be held where the weather is most likely good and the fishing is usually good for that time of year.

Both boats are hired out and Wahoo and Mariner pay nothing. The first 10 fishermen who commit to pay get to go for the ride and there will be 5 anglers on each boat.

Lets do this all in friendship and have fun.

I'm in. I commit the money for my part now. Let's do it.

Let's get ready to RUUUUUUMMMMMMBBBBBBBBBLLLLLLEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Last, Ancient Mariner and Wahoonbox should decide on where and when. Not us. It's their gig, we are guest. They should have a good clue about weather and fish, Moby Dick was a minnow when they started fishing. LOL!!!

Cool

I like it.... I especially like the meatinthebox/billfish poundage rule....

Although I still say 1 boat, but 2 days and they switch sides........ Either way 1 or 2 boats it'll be a BLAST!!!!

Come on fellas.................................. I know you have it in you... We could make it an anual event.... Charity money raised..... Pick your favorite charities......

I see a Television Special................

ESPN is looking for some "characters" for outdoor show. I think the Ancient One and I know Wahoo are definitely characters. It would be a lively show. LOL

Calling - The Ancient One & Wahoointhebox..... It's time to get it on....

Can you feel the LOVE...... Plastic vs. Meat.......

I think they should fish out of NC, better selection and shorter trip to the fishing grounds than Va..

How many palagic species can the masters of meat and plastic catch in two days????

What a learning experience, just to watch....

Marty - WHERE ARE YOU?????

I would like NC too but the Ancient Mariner would have to agree.

Wahoo is in Hatteras fishing the tourney. He said he would be off line till Monday. Been trying to find out if the Run Off did any good today but the website has not updated yet.
