Caught a pile of these this morning...

What is the proper ID of this fish. They are eating shad darts like they are going out of style. Jump like hell on the ultralight. Water temp 49 degrees. Not the same as the shad I usually catch on the darts.

I put one on a bobber for a little while...no joy. I think I will try a few on the big water if the wind will quit. I bet a Rockfish will make short work of one.

The only way to really know a fish is to eat it raw... Still cant get over that triggerfish video.

Cut herring is a killer on Rockfish from the time they enter the sound and into the rivers here in NC. It may be even while they are in the sound but I have never fished for them in that way.

I'll be calling them mullet when I use them for bait...A little birdie informed me they are not legal.

We were just at a restaurant on a canal, those things were going nuts, airborne left and right.

Keep them, I bet they would look good split tailed and hung on a dredge.
