    Catfishin in da riva

Not the best pics, only had the phone and it was night

Got off of Drill and had my buds pick up the boat and meet me at the ramp. My two buddies and his 6 yr old son came along. We used cut frozen fat back, well not cut but tore because my tackle bucket got left at the house and no knife.

Lines in at 7:27 after ripping the fatties apart on the corner of the boat. 7:45 one line goes down and dad holds the rod while jr reels, kinda. Jr gets tired and then the cat starts whippin dads butt. While that is going on two more rods go down (circle hooks and tight lines is the best) and my buddy and I reel two in around 20 lbs, then dad gets his to the boat finally and its about 30.

Re-bait and 10 minutes later two go down, then re-bait and two more go down.

We finished the grilled chicken and headed back to the ramp at 8:33.

Not what I had in mind for fishing this weekend but I am not complaining, it was fishing and we had a ball

    Final results:

    blue cats weighed in at 16, 18, 21, 22, 24, 28, 30

Any day on the water is a good one....weather its sweet water or salt......kind of hard to beat catfish for breaking a youngster into bigger fish. Nice report.

That's the way to do it bud. Nice batch of cats. Twisted shad was always our bait of choice...
    Thanks for the report.

Nice mess of kitties. Forgive my ignorance but what was the bait you were using? I'm not sure what the "fatties" you were reffering to are.

Thanks. I assume they are oily like shad or skipjacks.

Very oily. They are harvested/raped for this very oil.
