Catch and release Toggin

Me and my buddy Dave took the day off today to take a few soldiers fishing. As it turned out a couple of them are being sent to sand land on Monday so they had to back out and one of the other guys had some medical issues. We are going to try again is the spring. I figure it's the least I can do.

Well anyway enough of that. Since we already took the day off, why not just go fishing? What wind

We anchored up tight to the beach and as soon as the anchor line came tight it was game on. Dave had the hot stick today and out fished me 4-1 and I must have had 6-7 fish. We pulled the plug around noon and left them biting with our limit of 2 fish in the boat

Not a bad way to spend a Friday morning...

Back at it again today. Dave, Chris and myself. Chris had the hot stick today and also had the largest fish.

You have to wait until November 15th until you can keep 6! That stinks! In CT we can keep 4 from October 1 till Dec 6th. 4 is worth going in my opinion. One.........very tempting to break the rules.

Not too tempting for me.... I don't eat fish. But the other guys on the boat sure would like to keep more then one per man. Nov 15 sucks.... by then I will only have a week or two to fish on my own boat before I pull it for the year.
I do have a couple of charters booked for late Nov thru Dec.

I really just like the challenge... they are baits stealing tricky little bastards and give you a nice tussle getting them off the rocks, and just when you think you have them figured out.... everything changes.

While we were out there fishing he said to me..."you know, we could have left for NC Thurs night and been loading up the boat right now with Johnny for some fish killin".... How did you do last weekend?

We then headed out Sunday for a baitfish trip and filled the boat with albacore for future murderous rampages !
The freezer is fully stocked for you guys to come on down.
