With the nice weather we decided to make the run offshore. We were hoping for wahoos and maybe some YFT. the water was cold until the the hundred fathom line(57F). Found some pretty 72 degree water in 800 ft with a weed line but the current was ripping and the fish had lockjaw(if they were around). After 2 hours of nothing we moved inshore to do some deep dropping northeast of Big Rock. No tilefish,No grouper to be found at our usual spots. We moved in some more and got on the reef donkeys and a few other bottom dwellers. We could not ask for better weather.
Ended up with a boxfull of fish, but not the pelagic's we were looking for.
