We fished both days on the Gypsy Angler out of AB and the weather was definetly iffy.

Sat. the ride in was downright miserable.

There were only three blue ones caught in two days.

We finished 3rd w/ one blue release.

Hey Box, I thought that was you.

I was climbing up to the bridge when I heard someone say "Wild Goose".

I turned back and thought that was you and the lady cruising.

We fished hard Friday. One small mahi in the am and then had either a whitey or a sail pop the left rigger but was only buttoned up for a couple seconds and she came unglued.
That was all the action we saw Friday.

Sat. was another long slow day but around lunch the right short popped and she started taking 22 pds. of drag like nothing.

Stayed deep the whole time.

Turns out she was a pup, roughly a 100 pd. fish but a blue nonetheless.

That was the last blue caught Sat. and we took third due to time of hookup.

All in all a fun weekend.

I am marrying Josh's sister in October.

Needless to say, that is not a boring crowd.

man that is a long story, i met josh back in 1997 and jack, a friend of josh's, that fishes with us, they went to school and used to charter fish together, porky i had seen him around morehead growing up (he's still growing up), and met bobby 4-5 years ago when he had a 36 tiara fishing the big rock with some other friends jack and josh went to school with. i can tell ya' you'll have a good brother in law.

i tried to call josh on my way home today to tell him congrats so i guess i'll tell you. anyway, gotta go keep an eye on the sky for bad weather.

nice going on the blue guys - that was exactly what we were hoping for was a small blue to add to our sail on the 1st day - just could not make it happen. Pretty sporty conditions and some tough fishing thats for sure -

hate you had to go and knock us off the board
