Agitated- I've only used it once, I think I like it, it's more difficult to type in a waypoint than with the old Northstar, so far I'm just dragging the cursor to the numbers I want and then hitting Go To. What's the hot key option?? This unit is brand new, didn't see that in the instruction book.

From what I understand, with the 4.0 update, you can set up the bottom row of buttons as "Presets" or "Hot Key's" so all you need to do is get the unit set up for the particular settings you want. For instance, you can have one key that sets the display up for Radar/Nav, another for Nav/Sonar, etc...vs. fumbling through to get the view/settings you want to see or as the fishing conditions dictate. Again, my unit is a '09, your might already have this option.
