Cameras in a treestand.
How do you secure your camera while hunting in a climber alone? I have tried wire ties, rigging wire, velcro straps, hose clamps and finally Im going to ask for help. Im going on a mission to kill a deer on saturday I want to get it on film. I have havent seen a deer in a couple of weeks. I have been moving my stand. I finaly found where the deer have been traveling so Im relocated and ready for saturday morning.

Crab mustard is good
i use the Gorilla tree mount from bass pro shops. it attaches to the tree with a ratchet strap and has teeth on the backside of the mount. full tilt/pan, and extending. a real nice piece for 40 bucks or so.

home made rig
I have a home made rig, started with a piece of 3/8 steel rod about 18" long, welded a tree step screw on one end and bent the other 90 degrees, then added a little brace piece to stiffen it up a little. The took the top off a cheap tripod that came with a spotting scope that sets on the rod. Swivels and pans but you are pretty much limited to about 90 degrees out of the 360. That's OK if you have them figured out. In my case, I would be better to guess where they are coming from and point the camera the other way. Seems they come from behind me more than in front, LOL.
