I am interested in buying camcorder so that I can video our fishing trips. I need advice on whether to buy a DV or mini DVD. I am also interested in editing software. If I purchase Adobe photoshop, can I edit video and then burn to DVD using my CD burner? or do I have to have a different drive other than CD player. I am not to familiar with this technology.
I assume that the DV camcorder would have better video quality, but the Mini DVD would be easier. I could just put mini dvd in my computers CD rom and play? Is this correct???
The best way to do It for me Is a got a cannon mini dv samll easy operation with one hand..I use mini dv tapes I did not buy the cd one to new & to many bugs & did not get high ratings....You need a fire wire to upload your videos to your pc...You also need a program & If you have windows xp you should have windows movie maker on It...
DV is the way to go.Or Mini DV as it called. AS for movie making Windows XP has one built in. called Windows movie maker I use it and like it. It's very easy DRag and Drop! If you use XP it's made for digital imaging.
Thanks for the help! I did find the MovieMaker software already on my PC. I made my first "Movie" today with the short video burst I took with my Sony Cybershot camera. Worked well, but need to go out and get me A DV camcorder.
