Read the rules and get that old gray matter working! Be creative and remember the idea is to have fun..... uh.... I mean WIN a chance to catch a giant blue fin tuna! Time is ticking away and all those who have a recieved a new chance should jump in. Deep C has started this off with good insight in to a fish's life. I can't participate... I know the judge too well Come guys.... this is worth typing for!
Thanks very much for the (second) pardon, but I wouldn't be able to make it on the 16th anyway. So good luck to all your guys and Gal that are still in the running!
The big white ball is gone and I have made it through another night. So many big creatures out here in the deep, its impossible to get a good nights sleep. My world springs color and breakfast is on the menu. To my luck not to far away is some nice cool water. The cool water wakes me up and my breathing slows. Time to move back to the warmth where i can swim with ease. My morning swim turns favorably very shortly when I spot a pod of pilchards with my favorite snack, jr mahis slamming through the pack. For the moment I'm content to hang out underneath the fray and just lazily gulp all the bits and pieces that flutter down. The pilchards are almost gone and what do I see but a wounded mahi doing circles just below the others. I feel the adrenaline rise as I steam straight ahead and the mahi's struggle becomes more pronounced. Faster now, I am going to rip his head off. Right as I go to bring the jaws of carnage down on the unsuspecting prey, a mammoth mouth overshadowed by a mammoth bill swallows the inept fish whole. Time to haul ass and fight another day. Damn marlin always raw dealing me on such a delicious lunch, if I was only his size I'd snack on him. Thoughts of a mahi brunch push my tail through the crystal blue, and I just have to have one. My stomach pains are gone for the moment and I spot what I have been looking for all morning. Grass, long stretches of grass on the surface as far as I can see. Their is bound to be mahi in here somewhere. Just then I spot them huddling together nervously watching. Its time for an ambush. Speed up, they don't see me. I'm closer now and they flee as the sense me coming. Too late, I got one this time. Mouth open I get ready to sink my individual razors in his flesh. Right as I flex my jaw muscle I am smacked off course and an intense pain is devolping in my side. I look up to see the same marlin turning back toward me and his eyes are large. I try to push my tail through the water, but the pain is too intense. Looking back at myself I notice my back half is no longer attached to my body. I am know the wounded pray and all I can think about is the good times I spent eating with my brothers and sisters in the lovely carribean waters. Darkness envelopes me as my life as a wahoo comes to an end.
