Deep C.... you decided to get out there before Gamma made fishing even more uncomfortable!!!! yeah! Envy the warm weather..... it was cold here! Dressed in 2 layers, plus foul weather coat. Still fun catching fish though! Tomorrow, we plan on heading out again to see if an citation stripers are lurking.
Sorry the date is not doable..... but usually the fish and the captain are in control of that. Ocnslr has agreed to to do the judging. I plan on fishing all the holidays unless weather interfers. My family has gotten use to that Our 5th anniverary will hopefully be celebrated with a slob striper! Ain't fishing grand!

Sweet!!!!
Thanks Marty!,this puts a great end to an otherwise shitty day!
I trailered the cc down to Soloman's to do a little rock fishing before I mothball her for the winter. We break the mouth at cedar point just as the sun rises on a beautiful day on the water, expecting to find a couple nice hogs to end the season. We were riding high on what we hoped was good karma from giving a guy at the ramp our spare battery, so his day was not a loss. Well shit on me!! Halfway across to Hoppers I loose all steering. Gone, Nada!! We spend the rest of the morning bear hugging the 115 evey on our slow troll back to the ramp. Boats Sux! But thanks Marty! I will post my story latter, as I now have to go order a new teleflex from Port Supply!! Yeah for me!!! -D |

Damn, damn ,damn!!! I'd give my eye teeth to tackle a giant, but the sands of Sudan call and I must follow the sound. I'll be thinking of you guys freezing out on the water as I'm sweating my ass off. Give em hell guys/gals, I'll be posting some pics of my new digs when I get there.

Great story deep C..... I know I wouldn't want to be a 'hoo! Went fishing for stripers again today. Gorgeous day, flat water and back to 60's. Not much in fishing though.... one undersized freed itself at the boat and one 25" to stuff in the cooler. Brian was tired of dealing with weekend warriors who don't know how to drive a boat. I probably would have stayed out until my arms had dropped off....Good thing one of us has some sense about when to call it quits! Still..beautiful day on the bay and no skunk!
Sorry to hear that Seapro has to go to the bad lands. Not much fun.... but hope he stays safe! At least, he won't be worrying about pipes freezing! Waiting on the rest of the stories.....

Well, someone will surely jump on this opportunity to contribute to a great cause, and get a spot in the Final Four (or SIX).
Of course, I surely can't do it, and neither can "suds girl"..... Brian |
