Happy birthday little brother!
Bryan's birthday was last Thursday, and I know he had a great one because he was doing the things he loves best...chasing pelagics and limb chickens for 3 days.
Tried to think of ways to "roast" him good on his B-day, but the best I could come up on short notice was a few old photos going back to his "roots". If any of you out there have any ammo on him, please hi-jack at will! The photos are in chronological order....a few noteworthy details:
The first one is his first duck. If you look closely, you can see he is wearing a rubber glove (didn't want to get blood on his hands...definitely NOT the current day version of BTH I know!). I assume that most of you know Bryan from the fishing perspective, and therefore may not know that he is absolute death on things that fly, particularly waterfowl and turkeys.
The second photo depict troubling times is the young man's life...that struggle between women and the outdoors. What is wrong with this picture? The frown on his face is because he realized that he has messed up BAD...chosing to stay in bed on a Sat morning (after a night of chasing girls I's sure), despite the urgings of the wiser older brother. He eventually wised-up and immediately began to devastate NC's waterfowl population.
Last, but not least, a glimpse at the saltwater fishing roots of Bryan Hunt...a flashback to the 1980's. You may not know that it all started with a fascination with live baiting off of the pier during those treasured summers on Bouge Banks. It quickly picked up steam and progressed to the boat and has never stopped since. This particular day was one of those stellar days...28 strikes on live-lined pogies.
Bryan Hunt's attention to detail, hard work ethic, generosity, persistance, and integrity are as tough as it gets. I fear for the things that swim if he is ever able to realize his dream of full-time fishing!
To the best hunting and fishing buddy I could ask for...I love you my Brother...Happy Birthday! I know that he cherishes the friendships he has made here with many of you, considering several of you as mentors...thanks from his family!
