Anybody here shoot an A-5? Have you been able to shoot any other shotgun after getting used to the humpback?

i grew up shooting an A-5 "sweet sixteen"...an absolutely great gun by the way. Yes, it is possible to get used to something different...i shoot an 11-87 now, but it did take some getting used to.
To this day I still shoot my 1964 A5, don't need to use anything else. I do shoot my pump 410 dove and quail hunting and when I go to the sporting clay range. The looks I got when I would pull out either were priceless till I started shooting...![]()

Anyone have an old A5 they want to part with or maybe an old sweet sixteen? I grew up banging away on a humpy and would love to get my hands on one. Doesnt have to be pretty, adds to the character...
yea you can get used to another gun after shooting an old humpback gun....my first auto shotgun was a a5 and i still shoot it some even though i got the sbe....
Yes of course you can. If you can shoot then you can shoot. Love my A-5 Light Twelve. It's a classic.
I have a 1957 Light 12 Belguim that I absolutly love. I just got My Pop's 1985 and now I can never decide which to take. The old humpback shoots like new. I was thinking about selling the newer one to end the dilema! The Auto-5 is My favorite shotgun.
Browning Auto-5
I have since changed My mind about selling that one but I will consider selling the 85. You can PM Me if You are interested.

I shot a A 5 for 20 years or so.Could not wait for a softer shooting auto that would hold up.Changed to a Beretta and never looked back(actually a B80 browning made by Beretta).Tom
