Brown Marlin report 02-20-2010
Headed out of Southport Saturday with the hopes of catching some Black Sea Bass. Heading out the shipping channel we came across a lot of birds working the water about 3 miles out.
Our original destination was much further out to find warmer water but upon arriving at the sea bouy we realized the GPS was not functioning properly so we decided to fish an area know as lighthouse rocks. Having caught BSB here in January of last year we gave it a try. 4 drifts and 4 spiney dogfish.

Aren't those brown marlin are somethin' else!!! How many gazillions are there along the coast right now. I'm gonna try eating one tonight... What are those suckers feeding on right now, Grouper and Snapper babies??? Mc Donalds needs to serve a winter special Brown Dog Burger.... 2 for 99 cents...

If you eat those stink meat kings why not try some brown marlin?
I heard they taste like chicken...Thanks for bringing the camera along for the journey!!! If the GPS goes haywire, why not use the trusty compass?
